Aviation Challenge Event/ NL 102 Dedication Ceremony Information

Location: Aviation Challenge area under the long shed (bleachers) next to the AC building and in front of the lake. It's a dome-shaped area they call "the bubble". (See the AC map below.)

Date and Time: July 24th (Friday) at 1330 LCL (1:30 pm for you landlubbers).

How to get there: Take a bus from the parking area (and I suspect it's the one on the east side of the main building) at 12:45, 1:00, or 1:15 pm. If you miss those and/or need to walk down, see the map.

Directions to USSRC from the east: Get on I-565 West and get off on Exit 15. The first intersection is Sparkman Drive; go STRAGHT through it but move into the leftmost lane after you do. You will see a sign for US Space and Rocket Center above that lane. Turn left but get into the two RIGHT lane (Madison Pike). Go through the light and proceed past the Marriot and the USSRC Educational building to the (east) parking lot. Look for the buses, verify where it's going when you get to it, and climb aboard.

Directions to USSRC from the west: Get on I-565 East and get off on Exit 15. Stay in the far RIGHT lane. At the intersection, turn RIGHT and proceed past the Marriot and the Educational building to the (east) parking lot. Find a bus, and if it's going to AC, climb aboard.

VF-51 Vets and Families Get Together: Rosie's Cantina, 6196 University Drive, Huntsville, AL 35816 at 1800 LCL. To get there from USSRC, exit onto I-565 West. Take Exit 14B onto 255 North for several miles and exit onto US 72 West. Stay in the right lanes as you exit onto US 72. Go past the McDonald's and it will be on the right down a bit just past O'Charley's. Once inside, Andy will be wearing a Navy blue polo shirt with NFO wings and a tailhook running through it as well as a black hat that says "VF-51 Tomcat Project" and sports an eagle over a star, all in red.
